Introducing the Safe & Sound Protocol
Over the course of 21 days, you’ll witness a remarkable transformation in your physiological health and overall sense of well-being, including socially. As you progress through the SSP listening sessions, old triggers, agitations, and inflammations will gradually fade into the background.
Djaï & Amber will provide you with neuro-education, shedding light on the inner workings of your fight/flight and freeze response patterns, and how your nervous system is designed to support your well-being. This supports a more coherent and resilient electrical behavior in your nervous system.
While you listen, select a calm moment of the day and create a safe space within your home, install over-the-ear headphones for a self-regulating and health-promoting experience.
For the past seven years, countless individuals worldwide have experienced improvements in their psychological well-being and more, praising this method as the easiest path back to ‘safety & calmness
The treatment program
The Safe and Sound Protocol involves a total of 10+ hours of specially filtered music and can be administered in 15-20 minutes listening sessions per day. The full protocol can be finalised within 21 days and will keep its effect for many weeks after.
This can be a newfound level of ease and tranquility for you, and a rejuvenation of your body’s intelligence like never before!
How does it work?
The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is the only practical application of Polyvagal Theory, and is designed to improve sound sensitivities and auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through specially-filtered music.
The SSP allows for the repatterning of neural networks and improved regulation of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) which will impact the total sum of personal health. By training the middle ear muscles and stimulating the social engagement system, the SSP aims to improve the way the ANS works and create lasting changes in behaviour and regulation.
Did you know?
The Safe and Sound Protocol has been shown in peer-reviewed research to significantly increase ‘vagal tone of the heart’, leading to better control of state. Since our state is critical to how we approach a task at hand, by calming the physiological and emotional state, the door is opened for improved communication and more successful therapy.
Just as the brain is plastic and can change based on experience, the autonomic nervous system is also plastic. As the listener learns to process these speech-related frequencies, it improves the functioning of two cranial nerves that are important for promoting overall comfort and social behavior. Cranial Nerve VII (Facial Nerve) helps individuals focus on the human voice and tune out irrelevant frequencies. Cranial Nerve X (Vagus Nerve) enables self-soothing and autonomic regulation.
